Drawn to Nature - Guided Walk with Seasons of Self

Take your eyes for a walk and experience drawing with a difference!

If you think you can’t draw, this experience might change your mind…

Drawn to Nature sessions are less about capturing an exact likeness and more about experimental mark making. We’ll be using drawing as a mindfulness strategy, helping us slow down, look more closely and notice details we might have otherwise missed. Orient yourself with four directions drawing, craft your own nature brush, or make a sound map.

Drawn to Nature sessions are designed to cultivate curiosity, awe, and wonder, all in the good company of other nature appreciators. Enjoy an immersive and rejuvenating nature connection walk with paper and mark making tools on hand.

Seasons of Self's Sally Holliday is a nature connection facilitator and art therapist. She sees nature connection and creative expression as an intertwined double helix that when combined offer myriad benefits for both personal and community wellbeing.

What’s different about this walk?

Nature connection walks are not about getting from A to B. Instead, these aim to cultivate curiosity, awe and wonder. Nature connection walks are deliberately slower paced. We walk with the shared intention to connect more deeply with ourselves, each other and our surroundings.

Amidst the pressure and pace of life, Drawn to Nature sessions present a welcome opportunity to decompress and unwind. You’ll be guided through a variety of nature connection activities to attune your senses, restore your attention, and anchor you in the present moment.

We’ll return to the Link building for further drawing activities over afternoon tea.
