Become a Volunteer with us
Volunteers with the Ginninderry Conservation Trust are provided with opportunities to be involved and learn about conservation projects within the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor.
The Corridor showcases leadership in science-based biodiversity restoration, innovative community management, sustainable recreation and active learning opportunities and partnerships.
We have a range of opportunities that you can be involved in.
Volunteering Opportunities
The Trust is looking for volunteers to help control the weeds in our Grassland Restoration site. Named the Scrape and Sow, this site is an area where topsoil has been removed, and native seed has been sown to create Natural Temperate Grassland. It requires consistent maintenance to ensure that exotic species don't take over and the native species sown there can thrive.
This event will take place on Monday the 2nd of February at 8:30am until 11:30am. We will walk down to the site using the walking tracks (10/15 min).
Morning tea will be provided and we will take regular breaks. Please be aware that we may postpone/cancel within 24 hours of the event time depending on the conditions.
The event is located in the Ginninderry Conservation Corridor. The meeting point is at the Link Building (1 McClymont Way, Strathnairn ACT 2615).
We hope to see you there! If you are interested, you can sign up to the event on MyImpact/BetterImpact, or you can contact violet.marriott@ginninderry.org.
