Pride Grows Planting Day in the Conservation Corridor

Landcare ACT has organised an LGBTQI+ planting day in the Conservation Corridor which we would like to invite you to come along to! The planting site extends across an area of approximately 15 hectares on a ridge high above the Murrumbidgee River. It was planted with eucalypts 20 or 30 years ago which have grown really well, but lacks mid-storey and structural habitat elements for small birds, reptiles and other animals. We are excited to have the support of the Pride Grows community to help get mid-storey species established in this patch!

Gather at the Ginninderry Link Building (also accessible by public transport). The event starts 9.30am sharp, arrive from 9.00am for a cuppa and orientation briefing before we take a short 1km walk down to the planting site.

What to bring: Please wear enclosed shoes. Be sunwise, wear long pants/sleeves and a hat. Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated. Lunch and tools will be provided (bring your own gardening gloves if you have them).

This LGBTQIA+ event is for the whole community, supported by ACT Natural Resource Management, Meridian ACT, Ginninderry Conservation Trust and Landcare ACT with plants provided by Greening Australia.
