In this training workshop, you will get the chance to learn about:
Different wombat species in Australia
Health and habitat requirements
The impacts of habitat destruction and other threats
Mange - how to spot it, report it and treat it
What to do if you find an injured or sick wombat
How to check a pouch for young wombats (pinkies) in the event the mother has been killed
What to do if you find a pinkie
What you need to do to become a carer in the ACT
You will also get to meet three of Yolandi's rescue wombats who are on their journey to be released back in the wild.
